1. Prep Your Surface and Pre-Squeegee Your PermaSticker

Prepping the Area - Clean the surface of your item before applying the PermaSticker using either soap & water or a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water (50/50 mix). The cleaner the surface, the more permanent to natural elements and wear and tear.

Pre-Squeegee - After cutting out your PermaSticker, place the design face down with the white side facing up. Using the padded end of the included squeegee or credit card, run over it with hard pressure, back and forth 3-5 times. This forces the design onto the clear carrier sheet.

2. Separating The Clear Carrier Sheet From The White Backing

Separate the clear carrier sheet from the white backing by making a small tear. Do not tear near the design. Next, SLOWLY separate the clear carrier sheet from the white backing. We have a saying in the dojo - Don’t use your hands, use your EYES. This ensures every piece of your design is lifting onto the clear carrier sheet. If it’s not, set it back down, squeegee again, and try pulling that specific area which didn’t lift from a different side. The more thin and separated design elements there are, such as small text, the slower you should peel. The larger the design elements, the less careful you need to be. You will get a feel for it as you continue to work with our PermaStickers.

3. Placing your PermaSticker Onto Your Item

First, identify the placement area on your item. Then lay the design down starting from one side and ending at the other. This will help control your placement, reduce bubbles underneath the design, and avoid wrinkling of the carrier sheet which could cause design elements being offset and/or design overlapping. Tip: Leave an edge of the carrier sheet lifted, aka “dog-eared”, so you can easily grip it.

4. Completing The Transfer Process

After placing, use the padded end of the squeegee to run over it with hard pressure, back and forth 3-5 times. This forces adhesion to your item. Don’t squeegee over the “dog-eared” edge to retain something to grip. You are now ready to SLOWLY peel. Again, use your eyes while you peel to ensure every element of your design remains on your item. While peeling, move your grip inward to maintain a controlled peel. If all elements do not transfer, you can lay the clear carrier sheet back down, squeegee hard again, and try pulling that specific area which didn’t lift from a different side.

PermaStickers are extremely durable, color fast, chip & weather resistant stickers/decals, but they can still wear down or lose adhesion depending on the conditions & circumstances.

There are no size options to choose from with thins. Every box is an assortment of thin Larges. The real decision isn't which size, it's whether thins are the right product at all. Here's who they're for.

PUPPIES
Young dogs need to chew, it's how teeth come in and how jaws develop, but their mouths aren't built for full-thickness hide yet. Thins give a puppy real resistance to work against without asking too much of teeth that are still arriving. Start short, supervise closely, and watch how they handle it.

SENIOR DOGS
Older dogs often lose interest in chews not because they stopped wanting to, but because it got hard. Worn teeth and tired jaws turn a thick roll into a frustration. Thins bring chewing back within reach, and chewing is worth preserving in an old dog, because the dopamine and serotonin it releases matter as much at twelve as at two.

LIGHT AND POLITE CHEWERS
Some dogs simply aren't destroyers. They take a chew, work it gently for a while, and set it down. For those dogs a Large roll can sit untouched for weeks. A thin gives them something they'll actually finish and enjoy.

SMALL BREEDS
Toy and small breeds who find full rolls unwieldy often handle thins better, easier to hold, easier to work, less jaw strain.

DOGS RECOVERING FROM DENTAL WORK
Ask your vet first. But when a dog is cleared to chew again and needs something forgiving, this is the softest option we make.

Who should NOT buy these

Power chewers. We're direct about this because it's the entire reason these exist as a separate product: thins did not pass our durability check. A serious chewer will go through one fast, which means less value for you and more risk for them. If your dog destroys things, buy Large hair-on hide rolls instead.

Anyone who wants a chew that lasts days. Thins are not that. They're a shorter, gentler experience by design.

Because thickness varies piece to piece, these need closer supervision than our rolls. Sort the box when it arrives, match pieces to your dog, and pull anything that's worn down small enough to swallow. A thinner chew reaches that point sooner than a roll does.

Sold in four weights. One pound is roughly 6–7 thins.

1/2 POUND — $40.00 ($80.00 per pound, about 3–4 thins)
The trial size. Enough to find out whether your puppy or senior takes to them before you buy deeper.

1 POUND — $75.00 ($75.00 per pound, save 6% — about 6–7 thins)
The standard box. A reasonable supply for one dog who chews a few times a week.

2 POUNDS — $140.00 ($70.00 per pound, save 12.5% — about 12–14 thins)
For two dogs, or one dog you're keeping consistently stocked.

3 POUNDS — $175.00 ($58.33 per pound, save 27% — about 18–21 thins)
Far and away the best value on this page. See below.

How to read those numbers

The 3-pound box is the only tier that really rewards you. Look at what each additional pound actually costs. The first pound is $75. The second pound costs $65. The third pound costs $35. That's less than half the price of the first, the savings curve doesn't tick down gradually here, it drops off a cliff at 3 pounds.

Put another way: going from 2 pounds to 3 pounds adds roughly 6–7 more thins for $35. Buying that same pound on its own would run you $75. If you're already considering 2 pounds, the third is close to a giveaway.

The 1/2 pound box is for finding out, not for saving. At $80/lb it's the most expensive way to buy thins. It's priced to answer one question for $40 instead of $75 — will your dog take to these? Once you know, don't buy it again.

A note on value versus our other chews. Thins cost more per pound than our rolls or chips. That's not a mistake and we won't pretend otherwise. You're not buying these because they're the cheapest way to fill a treat jar, you're buying them because they're the right texture for a dog who can't safely or comfortably use a thick one. If your dog can handle a full roll, buy the roll. It's better value and it lasts longer. Thins are for the dogs that option doesn't serve.

"I have a puppy."
Start with the 1/2 pound. Puppies change fast, and you'll want to see how yours handles the texture before committing to three pounds of it.

"I have an older dog who's stopped chewing."
1 pound. Give it a few sessions before you judge, some seniors need a little time to re-learn that chewing is available to them again.

"I have both a puppy and a senior."
2 or 3 pounds, and take the 3 if you can. The third pound is $35.

"I'm not sure if my dog is a light chewer or not."
If you've ever handed your dog something and had it survive the week, they're a light chewer. If not, buy rolls.

"My dog is a power chewer but I want something for quick rewards."
Buy Chips, Chunks & Scraps instead. Thins won't stand up to your dog, and chips are built for exactly that quick-reward job.

"I want the best value per pound."
3 pounds, no contest, $58.33/lb against $80/lb at the smallest size.
