I have a 4 months old Standard Poodle. This puppy is smart even for her breed, so she solves every puzzle I give her in a few minutes. I provide walks and play time with many interactive toys, a walker the days I’m at work, but it’s still not enough to get her tired. While she is a very good puppy, a hard habit to break has been the nibbling and biting, when she was younger I could redirect her with a toy and her attention in the toy would last longer than now. As every puppy pawrent knows, at 4 months they join the rebellion. We received our package of ugly chews yesterday and she is still working on her first chip, 24 hrs later. Has been a lot of constant mental stimulation for her, to the point that she takes naps after working on it for a while. When she started biting me at night I used it also for redirection and she stays focus on her chew longer than what she was focusing on her toys. (the sacrifice is having to touch it after she has worked on it 🤮😂) By far has been a great experience and I think is a tool I was needing to survive this season of puppyhood. I also feel good that to the difference of some treats we might use in puzzles, this is very natural and also good for their health, I always try to keep the treats on the healthy side.
We just tried Ugly Chews for the first time and my husky/shepherd mix is obsessed! We love that they are all natural and family owned. Definitely recommend.
These chews are insane. My dogs go crazy over them. We bought two and they keep fighting over the same one cause it's nice and soggy now. And it's still lasted close to a week. I have to fight them to give it up when it's bedtime. I definitely will be ordering more.
If there’s a way to slow down a heavy chewer with these I’d love to know it
All four dogs love these but for one dog a large was half gone in 5 minutes

At first my 2 miniature schnauzer were very hesitant. And now they have figured out that they can chew it, they are addicted to it! Great product, great customer, will recommend this to all my pet parents friends, will order again!!
The whole order was tossed into a cardboard box and shipped. Miss matched sizes and chunks of hair everywhere. A couple random rubber bands in the box. For the price and shipping charges, I expected better packaging and organization.
I originally ordered two large chews for my golden retriever pup and had an issue with the packaging arriving damaged. I’m sure it happened in transport and not prior to shipment. I reached out to the company as I was disappointed and worried about giving it to my dog. David, their CEO, responded personally to apologize and to let me know that he had already shipped additional product my way. I appreciated his reassurance that the product was still safe for my dog and that he had taken steps to remedy my issue before even responding to me. When the replacement order came, it was beyond what I had originally purchased and there was a handwritten note from David inside. I really appreciate this level of care and personal service and the interaction definitely showcased one benefit of supporting a small business who clearly cares about retaining their customers!
As far as the actual product goes—my young dog loves his chews! My pup is under a year old and about 55 lbs. I purchased the large chews and they are pretty big, which is what I wanted! I give him a chew for about 20 minutes and then take it away so that it can harden back up for next time. He’s been gnawing on the same one for over a week now and has only put the smallest dent in it! It’s so much more longer lasting than the bully sticks I was giving previously! Also they aren’t messy like I thought they might be and they don’t seem to give off a strong odor when being chewed.
All in all, I am super satisfied and look forward to ordering again in the future!
Our 2 Border Collies are 3 1/2 and very picky. I made 1 order just to see if they liked these...they hoarded them, growled (grr) if one got close to the others...we have a winner. Only drawback, 2e cant afford $300 a mo in chews, which is what they'd go through...so it will be a they treat!! They loved them, fur and all!
These chews have been fantastic so far! My pup gets a 12” bully stick every day and it usually takes 30 minutes or less for her to finish. She’s been working on her first ugly chew for 4 days now, and I let her have it for 30 min - 1 hr each day. She gets SO excited when I bring it out to give to her.
No odor, no staining of furniture, long lasting. Dogs love to lug them around the house, roll on them and give them a regular chew! I love knowing their source.
These are the perfect size for a quick teeth cleaning session and chewing frenzy. If you have large dogs, ask them if they can send larger pieces. They're really nice about finding larger ones.
I have my dogs on a raw diet and found these chews to be fantastic
I finally tried Ugly chews after seeing their popularity on social media. I can now see why, as they are a huge hit with my 1 year old boxer puppy. I got four thick, long rolls in my 1/2 pound thin hide order. These are huge, so I can only imagine how big the regular size ones are. I am very pleased. Safe to say she loves it and I’ll be ordering more.
I ran out, my dogs would sit and stare, for their nightly Ugly Chews. I will be sure to NOT run out again! Dogs are happy, they get one a night, and YES they ask if I forget to give them one :)
Lassie is missing a front leg for holding her chew, so she improvised with a back leg to get the job done! She loves her ugly chews so much she works at them like it’s her job. Lassie is going to be 6 years old in February and up until now I hadn’t been able to find a chew that she liked. In the past, she would rather pick and shred fabric toys and I didn’t want that. These ugly chews with the hair still on lets her safely pick away til her heart is content.
First time ordering, our 2 pit bulls (6 yr female & 10 month male) both LOVED them. They lasted the longest of any chew we have bought before so we will be happily purchasing more!

I have been feeding these chews for well over a year now to my pack (4 dogs, border collie mixes, Mexico street mutt, Rhodesian Ridgeback) and they all love them! I regularly foster puppies for local rescues and these work great for the teething stage and I don't have to worry that they are ingesting pieces of them like they would with yak chews or other digestible chews. These rolls are very long lasting - in fact, one I have now I opened in April and it is on foster puppy #4 and still being gnawed on. They also don't smell, unlike bully sticks which stink - even the ones that say they don't. I was concerned at first about the chips and scraps that the pieces that had sharp points could do intestinal damage but after talking with my vet and showing her the pieces she wasn't overly concerned and said the fact they were minimally processed and all natural meant the digestive juices will soften and break down the hide much easier than the treated rawhide sold in the grocery store pet section. She said the sharp points will soften and should pass through with no problem if swallowed whole. I don't feed those pieces to the puppies but I do to my big dogs and haven't had any problems. All three of the puppers loved the chews. They could smell it from the box the moment it was brought inside. It keeps them occupied & it’s sturdy for them, because I’ve got some power chewers & this actually lasts them a long time.
